Black & White Photography - I love it!

Oh the elegance and attractiveness of black and white photos is perhaps eternal!

Black and white pictures are not intrusive to our eyes. Our eyes have been bombarded from all sides by advertisement and their aggressive colours. To gaze at a black & white shot can truly be a pleasant change for people and appeal to the eye...

Don't get me wrong I love, love colour and I love bright, beautiful and vibrant outfits when photographing children! I love lots of accessories like hats, scrarves, mittens, bright sweaters, big oversized bows & hairclips, big puffy holiday dresses, messy hair, barefoot, jeans, hats and FUNKY colours!!!!

But if you are decorating a room with a number of photos then there is nothing more classic and breath taking then a number of black & white photos to all compliment each other. We are in the process of re-doing our basement and I am printing out many black and white photos of the boys to decorate the walls. I am going to have two shelves that have a number of staggered black and white photos on it (they will be from 11x14 to 4x6 all framed with black frames. I have some old white window pans and I am going to place some black & white photos in them as well. Because I am placing so many different photos around the basement I fell black and white will provide a calm and relaxing feel...if I print all my photos in colour, they are all different colours, different outfits and pretty busy...which in the end could make us dizzy...I will post some photos when I have it all complete!

Falling Into Fun!!!

Fall is quickly approaching and the apples are ready for picking!

Get ready for hayrides and pumkin pie - yeah. There are so many wonderful things about fall like the autumn colours, bushels of fun leaves, buried treasures (like the kiddies under the leaves), cozy cuddle days and dancing leaves.



This little bum, bum enjoyed herself running around the farm enjoying the fresh air.






She is truly the apple of her mommy's eye!

With the nice fall weather approaching it means it's time for "apples at the farm" - Yeah!!! Jacob loves to go to the farm to pick apples and go for a hay bale rides.
